Aviation logistics: new rules from 25.10.2020

On August 17, the Civil Aviation Administration of China adopted a new policy for allocating temporary windows for cargo flights at airports. This is the first document of such a high level in the history of Chinese aviation dedicated solely to cargo transportation.

The main goal of the innovation is to increase the volume of cargo transportation by air – both in international traffic and within the country. Also, the task of maximum utilization of aircraft capacity and airport equipment is set.

This strategy reflects China’s desire to increase exports of expensive, high-tech goods – for which air transportation is often the most profitable.

The new rules will come into effect on October 25, 2020 and will be mandatory for all civil airports in the PRC.
